It's so refreshing to hear songs again! Jack Brown shares the space of craftsmen like Marshall Crenshaw (particularly Crenshaw's outstanding recent recordings) and the late Warren Zevon, bless his ironic, iconic soul. What distinguishes artists like Jack, and these others, is their uniquely American approach to songwriting: unfettered by convention, eclectic in style, irreverent where necessary but insistently pleasing to the ear at all times. I love the design of this website, by the way! The wood panel frame seems a most fitting backdrop for Jack and his music: richly textured and honest as earth.

There is some really fine, fine guitar playing on "Fat Man"...just kidding....The sight looks great Jack! Call me when you get up here to WA. and maybe we can play together. There's a little coffee house down in Lewiston...and we don't have to play everything in A MINOR!!!
